July 10, 2022 - Looking Down at a C-5 Galaxy!

Chuck, Mark and I were returning from Millville after a delicious lunch at Verna's Flight Deck Diner when we spotted a big C-5 Galaxy cargo jet below us.

I was 2,000 feet above it.  It's not often that I look down on a big jet.  The C-5 turned west, the same heading as I was, and pulled away.  I frantically pulled my camera out of its bag and took this shot.

A few minutes later I saw the C-5 again.  It must have turned north and then made a 180 degree turn, because now it was heading south, obviously going into Dover Air Force Base for a landing.

I turned north to get a good camera shot.

This time I was ready with the camera!

That's a big one.

Back at Essex Skypark, to celebrate my C-5 sighting, I made a low pass with smoke, followed by Chuck.

Later, in my hangar, I encountered this fierce little guy.  Not sure what he is, but he sure was ready to fight.  Using a piece of cardboard, I nudged him into a rain puddle.  He seemed to like that but disappeared a few minutes later.
